In a medical emergency always call 999. For non-urgent advice call 111.

Volunteer with us

Give your time and help save lives right here in Eccleshall.

Why volunteer?

Becoming a Community First Responder is one of the most rewarding things you can do for your community. You’ll be trained to respond to life-threatening emergencies — and could be the difference between life and death for a neighbour, a stranger or a friend.

You don’t need any medical background. West Midlands Ambulance Service trains you from scratch. You just need to live or work locally and be able to commit some time to training and being on call.

What’s involved

Once qualified, you’ll be available to respond to certain types of 999 call in the Eccleshall area, using the scheme’s equipment. When you’re not on call, you’ll take part in regular training to keep your skills sharp.

We get no central funding. Every pound pays for fuel, kit, training and uniforms — and helps us reach someone in those first critical minutes.
